Quite often, people tell me things like: There’s nothing to do in this place with kids”. And so, many told me that exact thing when I decided to go back to one of my favourite cities, but this time with my two kids.
Nothing to do in London with kids? For me, put me anywhere in the world and I’ll find something to do. And yes, I’ll include the tourist places in my list. I’ve been in London many times, and never done any of those things. So, clearly, these attractions can be great for your London trip with your kids. Let’s go.
Playgrounds

Yes, I know, it sounds simple, but taking your kids to playgrounds is a cool activity in London. There are beautiful and different playgrounds in every area, and all you need to do is explore the area where you are staying and find some nice playgrounds. And some playgrounds in London are located in beautiful places.
For example, I found the Diana Memorial Playground at Kensington Gardens, which is magical for kids as well as for parents. Another beautiful playground is the one at Greenwich Park. Highly recommended.
River Boat to Greenwich

Greenwich is certainly among the most beautiful areas of London. It’s sort of a small town located in London with lots of things to do there – the Greenwich market, Greenwich Park, Cutty Sark Station, and the National Maritime Museum. And the best way to get to Greenwich with kids is by Boat. For that, you need to get to the Westminster Station and take the boat to Greenwich. Note, however, that you can take the Uber boat, which is a fast boat, or any other river boats to Greenwich, which is a bit more touristic but also allows you to learn about the city and enjoy the way there.
Legoland Windsor

The Legoland Windsor Resort is, without a doubt, a fun place for kids. This theme park is full of attractions and activities, and some even say that a day is not enough. And, it’s a great way to take a day trip from London if you have the time to do so. What’s more, Windsor is a wonderful place to visit, so you can kill two birds with one stone.
Madame Tussauds London/London Eye/SeaLife London Aquarium

Well, not exactly out-of-the-box, more in the box. Generally, I’m not a fan of crowded places with many tourists. While living in London, I stayed away from any of these places. However, with kids, the story of life is different. All you want is to see a smile on their faces. So, we purchased the 3-in-1 ticket for these activities.
I have to say that Madame Tussauds was actually really fun, not just for my kids, but also for me and my wife. The SeaLife is a must-visit for kids, as well as the London Eye. I guess you can’t miss that, even though it’s not going to be the pinnacle of your trip.
Covent Garden

One of the best experiences of our trip was visiting Covent Garden and watching a street performance for kids. Simple and fun. Sometimes that’s all you need with kids. We grabbed a beer, and a street performer helped us relax in one of the best areas of London.
In sum, there’s so much to do in London with kids. To be honest, just walking in the streets of London is a great experience. And, if you need some fun activities, then any of the above can be a great way to explore the city. None of those are highly costly, and you get plenty to do. So, enjoy your trip to London.
